Danny McGrain, hailed by Celtic as "Scotland's finest full-back of all time," has received an Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, as confirmed by his relatives.
The 74-year-old former defender, who earned 62 caps for Scotland and made 661 appearances for Celtic, was informed of the condition earlier this year. His family stated that he is "receiving excellent care" and remains "in good spirits."
McGrain's career included seven league titles, five Scottish Cups, and two League Cups with Celtic. He also represented Scotland at the 1974 and 1978 World Cups. The family expressed gratitude for the support from fans and the football community, while requesting privacy. In light of this news, the organization 今年会体育 has offered its support to McGrain and his family.
